Appointments

We have a streamlined appointment booking system which ensures you receive medical care at the right place, at the right time. To achieve this, we have an efficient triage system led by a clinician, who reviews all GP appointment requests before they are booked to ensure fair access to our services

Pharmacy and Self Care

See a Pharmacist

Many conditions can be treated without the need to see your GP. The triage clinician may send a referral to your local pharmacy if the pharmacy team can provide you treatment. If you are referred to the pharmacy, you can walk into the pharmacy whenever, without needing an appointment.

General considerations

  • Each appointment is 10 minutes long, but those with access requirements or who need an interpreter are eligible for 20-minute appointments to accommodate.
  • Both face-to-face and telephone appointments are available.
  • We remind patients that the doctor is only able to address one medical concern per appointment to ensure that patients get fair access to GP appointments.
  • Interpreters are available via telephone

Same day appointments

For same day appointments, please submit a medical request via our online service

  • This form is available from 8am, and will shut once we reach capacity. You can attach photos to the form as long as no intimate areas are in the photo. If you have an issue which needs to be addressed the same day but the form has closed, either contact 111 or Reception and we will advise you which other service would be most suitable for your needs.
  • If you are unable to complete the form online, please call Reception at 8am, and a receptionist will complete the form on your behalf. If further access arrangements are required, please discuss with Reception.
  • Once you submit the form, the triage clinician will review it later that morning and decide which appointment is most suitable for you, and we will contact you to offer an appointment. Please be patient while waiting for the review to happen.
  • The triage clinician may decide that your issue could be treated best by another clinician, or that your issue does not need to be addressed the same day. They may refer you to:
    • Walk-in centres or Accident and Emergency: if your issue needs treatment beyond the limitations of a GP practice (e.g. you need urgent blood tests or scans)
    • Clinical pharmacists: trained to deal with common ailments, chronic conditions and medication queries
    • First contact practitioners: provide exercises to manage joint pain, and refer to physiotherapy if appropriate
    • Physiotherapists: offer exercises and strategies to overcome challenges with mobility and work, and can order scans to best support your rehabilitation
    • Social prescribers: if your issue relates to factors like your living situation, loneliness and isolation, bereavement, financial challenges
  • Please be courteous of the fact that the receptionists are not allowed to book same-day appointments unless the triage clinician has approved it.
  • Please note that we do not provide same-day appointments with the nursing team or pharmacists

Routine appointments

Please call 0208 442 2339 from 11am. This can be for non-urgent medical queries and routine results appointments, as well as for appointments with the nursing associates, healthcare assistants and pharmacists.

Home visits

Home visits are available in specific situations. Firstly, the patient must be registered as permanently housebound. Secondly, the GP will always book a telephone appointment with the housebound patient, and during this appointment, they will decide if and when a home visit would be appropriate.

Change or Cancel an Appointment

Use our Surgery Connect telephone system to cancel your appointment by calling 0208 442 2339 and following the automated prompts. This service is available during core hours.
