How to Register as a Patient

Please ask reception for details. Patients register with the practice and not a particular doctor. We try to comply with patients’ preferences for a specific doctor, but this is not always possible. We accept residents from the N2 area only. Patients from other areas are accepted at the practice’s discretion.

Non English speakers and Sign Language Users

If you need an interpreter, please ask for one when booking an appointment.

Disabled Access

The Woodlands Medical Practice has disabled access facilities on the ground floor only.

Compliments, Comments and Complaints

Your opinion counts. Please tell us your ideas and tell us when we get things wrong. You can talk to the Practice Manager or contact her in writing. A copy of the Practice complaints procedure is available from reception.

Rights and Responsibilities of Patients

If you cannot attend an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your appointment to someone else. Patients who frequently miss appointments may be removed from the list.

Rudeness

The doctors and staff of Woodlands Medical Practice are not prepared to tolerate rude or abusive behaviour. Any such behaviour may lead to removal from our list and may be reported to Barnet PCT.

Training

The practice has been recognised as being of a suitably high standard to train future family doctors. You may therefore be offered an appointment with the General Practice Registrar; this is a fully qualified doctor who is specialising in the particular skills of family medicine. This doctor will always have access to one of the partners, should advice be needed.

We are also a training practice for two London medical schools. Trainees are final year medical students and will be present at your consultation
only with your consent.
